DIY Free Weights
The weights that I have chosen to make is a bag of sand in a supportive bag. The gallon of milk alone cost about $3.50 (excluding taxes) and a 50 pound bag of sand would be about $2.68 (excluding taxes as well). Depends on how heavy you want the bag to be and how many you actually need for the exercise. The reason behind I created this exercise is because they don't have a consistent shape to the bag because they are constantly shifting inside the bag which won't always have the same weight as when you tried lifting it the first time. The sand bag is made to do different things for example the core for the body you could also do squats that requires a little less sand in the bag (depending on how much sand the person wants in the bag) and it is a great alternative to the weights at the gym.
The ingredients and the process to make these weights at home is you will be needing a bag or bags of sand, some where to put the bag inside like a really strong duffel bag that holds heavy things. What you'll do is carefully place the bag of sand inside the duffel bag and you can do squats or just lift the bag from where your standing. The reason on why I chose these ingredients is because it has different types of masses inside the bag and that gives you a variety of pressure when you are caring the bag of sand and it doesn't require much for you to build buy the supplies or build it on your own. You can also flip the bag around to you don't just have to carry the bag the bag can be used to work on your muscles from your arms because of how much you do at home. A lot of people at the gym do squats with a heavy ball and they also do the exercise with a rope the final exercise is doing sit ups and lifting the bag at home. My experience making the weight was that it didn't take long to make and it doesn't have to be with sand necessary it can be with whatever you want to put in the bag the reason why i chose sand was because it wasn't to heavy to work with. It is important to know how to make an exercise equipment because not everyone goes to the gym but would like to work out some way and making your own equipment at home is a great alternative. You never know when you might need an exercise machine because maybe you don't have a lot of time to to the gym but you still want to get warmed up a bit before you leave. Muscles that you will work on will exercising is your core,arms,and maybe your lower bottom of your body because those are what is taking on the pressure from the bag. It is important to know how to make your on exercise machines because you can create it your own and how you want it to be and just to also be creative and have fun with it. |
